I have been practicing law in Central Florida for over 25 years.  In
2005, I sat down with my clients and asked them what they disliked
most about dealing with lawyers. This is what they said:

We do not like communicating with our lawyer through his
secretary.  You call the telephone number and you talk to me.  The
telephone gauntlet to talk to your lawyer is gone. It's office policy to
return every call before the end of the day.  No exceptions, no
excuses. You may call me afterhours and on weekends.  

We do not like having to make an appointment to get a simple
legal question answered.  Established clients are allowed to
E-Mail simple legal questions to the office and will only be charged a
quarter hour for the answer.  If the answer is in a statute or based on
a court ruling, the client receives with their answer a copy of the
statute or the court case.  The question must be of the type that can
be answered in less than a quarter hour. Forget wasting a half a day
to get a simple legal question answered.  

We do not like waiting a week to get a copy of a document.  My
law practice is completely electronic.  All of my client's records are
stored as PDFs.  Call me and while you are on the telephone, I will
E-Mail or FAX the document you need to you, or if you prefer, I will
send it to your accountant or anyone else who needs it.  Simply
amazing.  No fee is charged for the occasional use of this service.
